I didn't like Punch Drunk Love. The 9/11 widower movie wasn't bad. I didn't see the last one where he played the jeweler. This one looks good.

Uncut Gems was the best thing Adam could have done for his brain -- got him out of making goofy comedies and reminded us all the guy can straight up ACT. Looking forward to this one.

@@squidge903 fair enough, but he went back to doing the dumb "sandler" movies after -- I'm not saying he won't do another Happy Madison movie -- and some of them have been hilarious -- but I'm definitely a fan of the more dramatic stuff he is doing now.

Adam is one of few actor who succeed making it as a serious actor from comedy.

actually a shitload of actors came from comedy and succeed doing serious roles. Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Whoopi Goldberg, Bill Murray, Will Ferrel, Steve Carell, Eddie Murphy... shit, even Seth Rogen delivered in "Steve Jobs"... I mean, shit, we could go back to Charlie Chaplin. Adam Sandler is a mediocre comedian at best, but most comedians can act. Being a good actor doesn't mean you can do comedy well, but usually if you are good at comedy you'll probably do well at acting overall. Adam Sandler's comedies are urrgh, but he's done some real good movies on other genres, which is kinda ironic.

I don't even like basketball, but this looks good. Sandler looks like he nails this part. If I ever had any doubts about Sandler's acting abilities that was demolished when he did "Uncut Gems". Not a great movie, but his performance was incredible. He reminds me of Michael Keaton in that respect. Comedy or drama, he can do it.

Why is it when I see Adam Sandler in a serious movie I think...you should have been doing this from day one. Just like Jamie Fox said after he won the Academy Award for Ray said, "No more Booty Call Movies". Adam is good and he should stay on this path.
