@@travistiffany5585 In this role the Rock would have been the Stereotypical Hollywood exc's would have made, however there aren’t many if any Real Navy Seals that look like him especially ones that had to operate in the terrain of Afghanistan. The writer of this book series who was also a Navy Seal had Pratt in mind when he envisioned this character on the big screen. Pratt has played a realistic Navy Seal before in zero dark 30 so that was a big plus. Putting the Rock into this role (no pun intended) would have turned this into a campy 80’s shooting from the hip action movie. This is a thriller as much as an action series and while it’s fiction there’s a lot of reality in it as far as the tactics, weapons, and the overall tone of it. I love the Rock, but Pratt is a overall better actor as well.

I just started listening to the audiobook again. I had just finished the newest book and went back to the beginning when I found out there was going to be a show. This, Tier One, The Gray Man, and Orphan X are some of my favorite series'.

Jack was on set a lot and he’s happy with it. Obviously it won’t be exact but if it gets it close it’ll be good

I'm just glad they are doing this through a series and not trying to cram it all into a movie. At least with a series they'll have time to cover more of the material from the books.

Terminal List by Jack Carr. Has a very Tom Clancy vibe. Highly recommend.

If you're into the idea of listening to it, there is a spectacular audio book version narrated by Ray Porter.

@@9Novem I dont care about his range. He has presence and is very entertaining. He's not an actor's actor like Daniel Day-Lewis or Anthony Hopkins where they bring subtle nuances to their characters. Harrison Ford has very limited range as an actor but has this movie star likablity to him that makes him entertaining to watch. Pratt makes his usual persona in movies effortless and comfortable towards the audience. Im drawn to that more than classically trained and method actors in starring roles.
